Frets on Fire is a multi-platform musical game that challenges your fingers. The main goal of the game is to play guitar using your keyboard as accurately as possible. The game is pretty much a port of games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but for the PC, Mac and Linux. That is one of its greatest features: that no matter what computer you have, you can play it. You can even import songs from Guitar Hero 1 and 2, thanks to the import wizard. Unlike those games, you can create your own songs with Frets On Fire, simply add the song and follow the on-screen instructions. After you play, you can head to the World Charts, to see how you match up against other players from around the world. The game supports joysticks and guitar controllers. This is an open source project, which means that it is continuously updated and improved. The whole source code is available for you to download and edit. There are hundreds of songs made by the community that you can download and have a go at. The fun seems to never stop. |
